China Nursing Home Fire: A tragic accident has occurred in Hebei province of northern China. At least 20 people have died tragically due to fire in a nursing home here. The fire was in Longhua County in Chengde city. A total of 20 people have been confirmed by Wednesday morning. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

China’s official news agency Xinhua said on Wednesday that 19 other people have been transferred to the nearest hospital. These include elderly, women and children. Government media said that a person has been detained by the police, but no more information has been given.
Incidents have happened before
Let me tell you that in January this year, a food market caught fire in Jhangjiako of Hebei city of Chine. Eight people were killed and 15 others were injured in this fire incident. A month before this, nine people were killed when a fire broke out at a construction site in Rongcheng city of East China. It is common in China to relax the building code and to get a deadly fire due to a careless attitude towards security at the workplace. (AP)
