Huntsville (Texas): A person has been punished very dangerous on Tuesday evening in the state of Texas, USA. A woman was convicted of burning and killing. After this, he was sentenced to death by injection of poison. The man set a woman on fire 13 years ago, during a robbery at a shop in Dallas on 20 May. According to authorities, 49 -year -old Matthew Lee Johnson was given a deadly injection in Huntsville’s state jail and was declared a death at 6.53 pm.
Johnson was convicted on 20 May 2012 for setting fire on 76 -year -old Nancy Harris in Dallas suburb Garland. Harris died a few days after the attack during treatment. She was working in the shop for more than 10 years. Harris has four sons, 11 grandchildren and seven sarcasm. When asked by the jail’s warden, Johnson looked at the victim’s family and apologized, saying, “I never had the intention of harming them.” In the court, Johnson admitted his crime and said that he was drunk and for this reason he did not have a right idea of his act.
The incident was carried out while working in the shop
The prosecutors said that when the Harris was working in the shop, Johnson came there, put a flammable substance on his head and demanded money. According to court documents, Johnson set fire to Harris after snatching the money and peacefully got out of the shop. Harris tried to extinguish the fire, then ran out of the shop and shouted for help. A police officer used firefighting device to extinguish his fire. Johnson was arrested about an hour later. A nurse and the doctor said in his testimony that Harris’s head, face, neck, shoulder, upper arm and legs were badly burnt and had a lot of pain before dying. (AP)
