Moscow: Russia has come under question after lifting the ban 20 years ago from the ruling terrorist organization Taliban in Afghanistan. The United Russian Foreign Ministry said it is committed to honor the United Nations Security Council’s anti -terrorism sanctions against individuals and legal institutions associated with the Taliban.
Earlier, the ban on the organization as a terrorist organization by the apex court here was suspended. The apex court on Thursday suspended the over -old ban on the ruling Taliban in Afghanistan, paving the way for a complete relationship between Moscow and Kabul. In 2003, Russia banned the Taliban movement as a terrorist organization. However, the Taliban gained control over Afghanistan after the return of American troops in August 2021. (Language)
