Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif
Islamabad: Shahbaz Sharif’s government has been stunned after the assassination of eight Pakistani citizens in southeastern Iran. Pakistan has sought full support from Tehran in this matter. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has also issued a statement regarding this. The statement said that citizens were killed on Saturday at Mehstan County, Sistan and Balochistan, about 230 km from the Pakistan-Iran border.
‘Criminals will be identified’
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “Criminals will be identified and no effort will be left in ensuring justice.” Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir, wrote on ‘X’ that all the people killed were laborers. Islamabad and Tehran are working to bring back their bodies. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bakei described the murder as a terrorist act. He said that it is contrary to Islamic principles, laws and human norms.
Baloch Liberation Army has been attacking
The Balochistan region, spread over Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, has been facing the rebellion of Baloch nationalists who have been freedom for more than two decades. The ‘Baloch Liberation Army’ in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan often target security forces and citizens.
