The biggest rivalry of cricket i.e. India and Pakistan is ready to thrill the thrill once again and this time it can be clashed thrice. The Asia Cup 2025 will host the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision has put an end to the speculation that has been going on for the last few weeks, especially with India’s participation.
Possible tournament dates
The Asia Cup (in T20 format) will be held from 5 to 21 September 2025.
India and Pakistan can be placed in the same group, which makes the possibility of three matches:
September 7: Group stage match
September 14: Super Four Round
September 21: Finals (if both teams arrive)
Consent in India-Pakistan
It has been agreed between the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that between 2024–2027, all multinational tournaments (ICC and ACC) matches will be held on Neutral Venue (eg Dubai).
India has made it clear that it will not play bilateral series, but there is no problem in playing against Pakistan in international tournaments.
A break on rumors
Some reports claimed that India could withdraw from the Asia Cup, but BCCI described these reports as wrong and rumored.
Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia also confirmed that India is ready to play in international tournaments.
UAE’s role is important again
The UAE has also successfully hosted many big tournaments (eg IPL, Asia Cup 2018 and 2022).
Cricket boards trust the geographical neutrality and excellent stadium facilities here.
