Tesla CEO Elon Musk resigned from the post of ‘Special Government Employees’ on Thursday amid widespread opposition. Musk thanked US President Donald Trump for giving an opportunity to reduce the extravagance of the government.
In a post on X, he said, “Since my scheduled time as a special government employee is ending, I want to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce futile expenditure. The DOGE mission will be stronger over time as it will become a way of life in the entire government.”
According to CNN report, earlier on Wednesday, Musk said that he is “spending time at 24/7 work” and sleeping in the conference room, as he has returned to corporate life after a time spent in Washington.
Musk’s favorable attitude, “extremely rigid” work culture is now working, as the billionaire now has to handle several staggering companies simultaneously.
Tesla’s sales are falling. Cybetrik is proving to be a flop forever. According to Musk, the social media site X requires “large operating reforms”, after a broad outage over the weekend, which occurred less than two weeks after the XAL’s Grake spread the principles of conspiracy about “white massacre”.
Late Tuesday night, according to CNN, the latest multivion-dollars SpaceX launch resulted in its starship rocket control and broke over the Indian Ocean.
Investors are relieved that Musk is focusing again on his daily work. Tesla’s shares – Musk’s only publicly trading company – has increased by 25% in the last month (although they are still negligible relative to their December peak).
This optimism is based on the fact that Musk will actually correct the problems that harass the EV manufacturer and also fulfill their promise to start an autonomous robotaxi service in Austin, Texas in the coming weeks.
According to CNN, Musk expressed concern about Trump’s comprehensive tax and expenditure deduction package, stating in a video released on Tuesday that he believes that this would increase the US budget deficit and damage the efforts of the Government Efficiency Department.
CNN quoted Musk as saying, “I am clearly disappointed to see the heavy expenditure bill, which increases the budget deficit rather than reducing, and weakens the work being done by the DOGE team.”
He said, “I think a bill can be big and beautiful, but I don’t know if it can be both.”
Even after the removal of Musk, DOGE will continue his work, and his employees will be employed in federal agencies for months or years.
