The US State Department criticized India’s stance of no role in the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, and as potentially misleading such claims.
During a press conference, the US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce responded about the 22 April Pahalgam militant attacks and India-occupied Nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, after retaliation between the two countries, after an increased tension between the two countries, they responded to separate statements of Indian and Pakistani authorities about separate statements of Indian and Pakistani officials.
Bruce gave a subtle answer to this question, in which he emphasized transparency in the modern era and suggested that factual records are accessible and subject to public investigation.
He said, “So many comments say everything in themselves. A good aspect of our modern world is that people can see what is actually happening. To know what is actually happened, you do not have to depend on any comment. The world is running in front of us in a big and small screen. Everyone will have their own opinion.
He said, “We have to make analysis and decision, and the fact is that we clearly understand what is happening in our world every day.”
Highlighting the participation of prominent American personalities in the ceasefire talks, the spokesperson said, “Donald Trump is present here to make it easy and help it clear things. External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio is also in the same position. The United States Vice Presidents are also involved in talks with Pakistan and India.”
During the increased tension between the two countries in May, the US has repeatedly claimed that it had entered into a peace agreement between India and Pakistan on the basis of trade agreements. However, India continuously denied these claims, saying that the agreement was reached after Pakistani military officials contacted India for negotiations.
Earlier on Monday, US President Trump again falsely claimed that he recently stopped the India-Pakistan struggle from growing. Trump said that the fight could have turned into a nuclear war and it was necessary to stop the conflict.
He said during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “We stopped many battles; One of them was a very big fight between India and Pakistan. We stopped it for business. We are working with India and Pakistan. We said that if you fight, we will not compromise with you. We were probably at the level of nuclear weapons. He was probably really necessary.”
