Frament: 2 people died and at least one person is missing after several pedestrians were hit by a train in North Ohio, USA. ‘WTOL-TV’ said that the accident took place in Frament at around 7 pm on Sunday evening. Frament is near the Eri Lake between Toledo and Cleveland. Frament’s Mayor Danny Sanchez has confirmed the death of 2 people.
Search for missing person continues
‘WTOL-TV’ reported that at least one person is missing and the emergency teams are searching for him in the Sanduski River near Miles Newton Bridge. Officials have closed the bridge as a precautionary measure. Frament police told through the Social Media Forum X that the bridge has been closed and people have been urged to stay away from the region.

There have been railway accidents in the US earlier. In 2014, 2 trains of Union Pacific in Arkansas had a face-to-face collision. 3 people were killed and one person was injured in the accident. The accident occurred due to the failure of the signal system, causing both trains to come on the same track. (AP)
