Pakistan Nuclear Ballistic Missile Program: While Pakistan is already in disarray, the US has also taken major action. The US has run a hammer on Pakistan’s nuclear missile program itself. The Industry and Security Bureau of the US Department of Commerce has included more than a dozen Pakistani companies in its monitoring list due to involvement in unsafe nuclear activities. Companies included in the monitoring list are considered a threat to the US national security and foreign policy.
Pakistan also responds
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has also reacted in this matter. The Ministry of External Affairs has described the US move as unfair. Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Ali Khan said that this move of America will affect Pakistan’s economic development. Meanwhile, let us also know here that seven other companies have also faced restrictions due to help in Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.
These Pakistani companies fell down
Significantly, the US has taken this step when changes have been made in the export administration regulations (EAR) recently. This move of America will affect 70 companies from China, Pakistan, Iran, South Africa and UAE. Pakistani companies added to the list for nuclear activities include Britlite Engineering, Intentch International, Intralink Incorporated, Prok Master, Rahman Engineering and Services and others. The US says that the companies against which action have been taken are working contrary to its national security or foreign policy.
America has taken action before
This is not the first time the US has taken such action. Earlier in December too, the US government had also banned Pakistan’s National Development Complex and three commercial institutions in Karachi. These included Akhtar and Sons Private Limited, Ephiliates International and Rockeside Enterprise companies.
