American giant companies are eager to run on the track of PM Modi’s “Made in India” –

New York (USA): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stunned China by holding a round table conference with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of major technology companies in the US in New York. The big companies of America are now eager to run on the “Made in India” track prepared by PM Modi in India. The reason is clear that the big companies of America see a huge and huge market in India. The possibilities of rapid development in India under the leadership of PM Modi have given wings to the dreams of American companies. In such a situation, many companies are in a mood to migrate from China and start their business in India. This will be the biggest blow of the century for China.

On the second day of his 3-day US visit, PM Modi held a fruitful meeting with big American companies at the ‘Lotte New York Palace Hotel’ on Sunday. CEOs of 15 major US companies working on cutting-edge technologies like AI, ‘quantum computing’ and ‘semiconductors’ took part in it. Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and India’s market are attracting American companies. This is the reason why most American companies want to get an opportunity to invest in India.

Modi’s tweet shocked China

When Prime Minister Modi posted the information about his meeting with the CEOs of American giant companies on the social media platform ‘X’, it created a stir even in China. China might not have expected that American companies would be so impressed by Modi’s magic. The Prime Minister wrote in the post, “Participated in a fruitful round table conference with CEOs of technology companies in New York. Discussed aspects related to technology, innovation and other topics. I was happy to see their optimistic outlook on India’s progress in this field.” According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during the conference, Modi said that cooperation in the field of technology and efforts like Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET) are at the core of India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Modi was joined by CEOs of top US technology companies including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Accenture CEO Julie Sweet and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang at the roundtable organised by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering. Others included AMD CEO Lisa Su, HP Inc. CEO Enrique Lores, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, Moderna Chairman Dr. Noubar Afeyan and Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg. Assuring the industrialists about India’s deep commitment to protecting intellectual property and promoting technological innovation, Modi highlighted the economic transformation taking place in the country, especially in the electronics and information technology manufacturing and semiconductor sectors.

India on its way to becoming a global center of semiconductors

PM Modi said that his government is committed to making India a “global hub for semiconductor manufacturing”. He also spoke about India’s ‘Bio E3’ (Biotechnology for Environment, Economy and Employment) policy to develop the country as a ‘biotech powerhouse’. On the subject of AI, he said that India’s policy is based on promoting AI for all and its ethical and responsible use. The CEOs appreciated India’s growing dominance as a global technology hub, driven by its innovation-friendly policies and rich market opportunities. They also expressed keen interest in investing and collaborating with India.

Others who attended the conference included Biogen Inc CEO Chris Viehbacher, Bristol Myers Squibb CEO Chris Borner, Eli Lilly and Company CEO David A Ricks, LAM Research CEO Tim Archer, GlobalFoundries CEO Thomas Caulfield and Kindryl CEO Martin Schroeter. (Input-Bhasha)
