Anger erupted in America against Pahalgam attack, Hindu organizations filed protest

Hindu organizations in the US held meetings against the Pahalgam terror attack.

Washington DC: Hindu organizations united in the US on 26 and 27 April 2025 in honor of the victims of the cruel massacre in Pahalgam, India by Pakistan -backed Islamic terrorists. Thousands of Hindu-Americans participated in these meetings and raised a united demand to end global Islamic terrorism. Organizations said that on 22 April 2025, there was a brutal killing of 25 Hindus by Islamic terrorists associated with the pseudonym branch of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists asked them to read Kalma to investigate the religious identity of the tourists and confirmed their clothes and confirmed whether they were circumcised.

Hindu organizations of America said that these innocent men were brutally killed in front of their families when Hindu identity was confirmed. It is another heinous act of targeted violence on religious grounds, part of a long range of attacks on Hindus in Kashmir. These include a massacre of about 4 lakh Kashmiri Hindus in 1990, Amarnath massacre (32 dead) in 2000, and Qasim Nagar Massacre (29 dead) in 2002.

13 Hindu organizations in the US, including Americans for Hindus (A4H), Coalition of Hinduj of North America (Cohna), Federation of Indians and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), Global Hindu Temple Network (GHTN), Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), Kashmiri Eversions (KOA), Hindu Pact, The Hindu American Foundation (HAF), Hindu Temple Empowerment Council (HMEC), Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), Hindu malice, The Avanti Foundation, Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), and American Hindu Federation (AHF), Vioce of Hindus, organized these meetings.

These meetings took place in many cities including Washington DC, New York City, Edison, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Fremont, San Jose, Sacramento, Ridgewood, Parsipney, Long Island, Newington, Wellington, Columbus, Chicago, Losy, Sital, Las Vegas and University of Calcules. More meetings will be held in the coming days. There will be a gathering at Washington DC on 1 May, and on 5 May there will be a protest against the Pakistani Consulate at Los Angeles. The Hindu Temple Empowerment Council (HMEC) organized a virtual prayer meeting on 3 May, which will include representatives of temples across America.

The voice of justice echoed in meetings

In the meetings, the participants lit candles, prayed, and kept a minute’s silence in memory of Hindus, who were brutally killed by Islamic Jihadi terrorists. He brought placards written slogans like ‘Justice for Pahalgam’, ‘State sponsored Islamic terrorism’, and ‘Stop killing Hindus’. The organizers stressed that it is an issue of human rights and religious freedom, which is beyond regional or national politics.

Major demands of America’s Hindu community

Pahalgam ‘genocide’ should be recognized as religious terrorism against Hindus. Pakistan should be declared ‘State Sponsor of Terrorism’ by the United States. In Pakistan and Bangladesh, systematic violence against Hindus should be investigated under the leadership of the United Nations. The global media should accept the religious oppression of Hindu victims and stop their glorification by calling Islamic terrorists a ‘militant’ or ‘rebel’.

Statements of leaders of Hindu organizations

Dr. Ajay Shah, the founder of Hindupact, said, ‘Religious freedom should also apply to Hindus. Human dignity also includes Hindu life. Pahalgam’s victims are not just figures, our siblings. We will remember them and demand justice. The gradual massacre of Pakistan sponsored Hindus should stop. VHPA chief spokesperson Shyam Tiwari said, “We demand the world leaders to fight against Islamic terrorism and destroy it completely.” Cohna President Nikunj Trivedi said, ‘Pahalgam is not an separate incident, but part of religious hatred against Hindus. We call on world leaders to fight against the increasing wave of Hinduphobia.

HAF Executive Director Suhag Shukla said, “It was a well -planned and cruel attack on innocent people due to being a Hindu. Families were targeted, their religious identity was tested and brutally murdered. This is a matter of concern not only for India, but for those who give importance to religious freedom and human dignity. Dr. Romesh Japra, founder and president of Americans for Hinduja (A4H), said, “If terrorism does not end from the world, it will destroy humanity. All world leaders should work together to end terrorism.

The President of the Kashmiri Overseas Organization Gift Kottu said, ‘Tourism cannot hide the truth! Each attack reopens our wounds which have never recovered. Our pain has been ignored for a long time. Global Hindu Temple Network US President Mohinder Gulati said, “International organizations and financial institutions have shown failure to implement treaties, conferences and policies in dealing with Pakistan -sponsored Islamic terrorism.” Sanjeev Kak of The Avanti Foundation said, “We strongly condemn the extremely barbaric massacre of innocent tourists in Pahalgam by Pakistan sponsored jihadi terrorists.” Voice of Hindu Raj spokesperson Dr. Amit Desai said, ‘We are mourning the brutal killing of Hindu pilgrims in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025. This is a shocking terrorist act. We demand global action against justice and such religious violence.

Referred to old attacks

The meetings in the meetings mentioned the old attacks against Hindus in Kashmir, such as massacres and temples impure of temples in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. These meetings were not only a tribute to the victims of Pahalgam, but also a strong message of religious violence against Hindus and global action against terrorism. The Hindu community unitedly made it clear that they would continue the demand for justice and respect for their people until their voice is heard.
