US President Joe Biden
Washington: America’s newly elected President Donald Trump will take oath on January 20, but before that, Joe Biden is the President and is continuously taking big decisions. US President Joe Biden has announced to name two aircraft carriers after former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush. Clinton, a member of the Democratic Party, was the 42nd President of the United States, who held office between 1993 and 2001. He was succeeded by Bush, a member of the Republican Party, who held the post from 2001 to 2009.
What did Biden say?
“I am proud to announce that the next two ‘Gerald R. Ford’ aircraft carriers will be named after two former Presidents, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush,” Biden said in a statement. When I personally told Bill and George about this, they expressed gratitude for it. Both are well aware that it is our duty to support families and loved ones who wait and worry for the safe return of their servicemembers.
Construction work will start soon
Joe Biden said construction of the future USS William J. Clinton (CVN 82) and USS George W. Bush (CVN 83) will begin in the coming years. Upon completion of their construction, they will form the most capable, flexible and professional navy ever to be at sea. (Language)
