America USS Harry S. Truman Aircraft Carrier
Dubai: A ‘F/A-18’ combat aircraft landing on the US ‘USS Harry S Truman’ aircraft in the Red Sea fell into the sea. After this incident, 2 pilots aboard the plane were taken out of the plane. The US Defense Officer on Wednesday informed the ‘Associated Press’ about this. The officer said on the condition of anonymity that the incident took place on Tuesday.
Help of helicopter
The official said the pilots aboard the plane were later evacuated from the sea with the help of a helicopter. He suffered minor injuries in this incident. The crew riding on Truman has not been hurt in the incident. The US aircraft carrier in the Red Sea is deployed because the US is targeting huts from here.
What is arrest equipment
The official said that, it seems that the incident occurred due to any problem in the arrest equipment while landing the aircraft. The arrest equipment is a system designed to immediately stop the speed of something, which is often used to slow down the speed of aircraft on aircraft carrier ships or prevent fall from height.
