Bimstec summit
Bimstec Summit: Bimstec summit is being held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailade. The heads of 7 countries including India are participating in this conference. Prime Minister Modi has played an important role in reviving Bimstec. They have taken several concrete steps to make it a strong platform of regional cooperation. At the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok, PM Modi has mentioned the action plan of 21 points.
Youth will lead
At the BIMSTEC summit, PM Modi said that we will collectively activate Bimstec and our youth will lead it.
Cultural relations will bring Bimstec closer
Prime Minister Modi also said that some things like culture connect with each other. It is expected that cultural relations will bring Bimstec even closer.
Will learn and move forward
PM Modi also said that Bimstec has the ability to become a great example of capacity building structure. We will all learn from each other and move forward.
PM Modi made a big proposal
At the BIMSTEC summit, PM Modi proposed to link India’s UPI with the payment systems of BIMSTEC countries. He said in the conference that connecting UPI with the payment systems of the regional group will give a boost to trade and tourism. The Prime Minister also proposed to establish ‘BIMSTEC Chamber of Commerce’ and organize ‘BIMSTEC Business Summit’ every year.
‘Bangkok Vision 2030’ adopted
Bimstec is a regional initiative including India’s neighboring countries Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Leaders of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Bhutan are participating in the Bimstec summit organized by Thailand. ‘Bangkok Vision 2030’ has been adopted at the BIMSTEC summit.
