Brazil G20 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Brazil. He has attended the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. Talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva during the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. President Lula said in his meeting with PM Narendra Modi, we wanted to host the G20 summit in the same way as India did last year.

Sharing a picture of his meeting with Brazilian President Lula, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, Spoke to President Lula during the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. Praised Brazil for its excellent efforts during its presidency of the G20. During this we discussed bilateral relations in detail. Took several decisions on cooperation in energy, biofuels, defence, agriculture and other sectors.

What did the Foreign Ministry say?

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Prime Minister Modi thanked President Lula for successfully hosting the G20 summit. He said, “The Prime Minister assured India’s full support to Brazil’s initiative on ‘Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty’. The discussion focused on exploring opportunities for greater cooperation in renewable energy, biofuels, defence, agriculture, healthcare and digital technology.

PM Modi will go to Guyana from Brazil

On Monday, Prime Minister Modi was warmly welcomed by President Lula at the G20 summit venue. Along with Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden are among the leaders attending the Rio de Janeiro summit on November 18-19. From Brazil, PM Modi will visit Guyana on the invitation of President Mohammad Irfan Ali. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in more than 50 years.
