Britain Illegal Migration: Britain on Thursday took major steps as part of measures to crack down on illegal migration. The UK government has announced new restrictions to tackle human trafficking gangs and stop the illicit financing that fuels such crime. The government said the new restrictions are aimed at curbing illegal migration and organized immigration crime by targeting them. The new sanctions regime is expected to come into effect within this year.
‘Criminal gangs must be eliminated’
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said, “We must dismantle the criminal gangs that cross our borders illegally.” We will crack down on the illicit financing of smugglers and crack down on the gangs that smuggle marginalized people from across Europe into the UK. He said: “We will deliver on our transformation plan and close Britain’s borders. Will secure.”
