Bus victim of accident in Sri Lanka (symbolic picture)
Colombo: A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday in Kotamale area of Central Provinces, Sri Lanka. The accident occurred when a bus fell into the ditch. At least 21 people died and more than 30 people were injured when the bus fell into the ditch. The police has given information about this incident. Police reached the spot after the accident and took out many people from the spot and took them to the hospital.
Bus fell into the ditch slipped
According to the police, the accident occurred when the bus driver tried to turn left on the hill route. Police said that during the same time the bus slipped and fell into the ditch. The cause behind the accident has not been known. Police said that investigation of the accident has been started. There were 75 passengers in a bus owned by the state transport body.
Bus was going to Kurunegala
Police said that this bus was going from Katargama to Kurunegala, a southern shrine from Katargama. Sri Lankan Transport and Highway Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunaasena said that 21 people died in the accident. More than 30 passengers have been injured in this accident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. (Language)
