The case has been registered for attempt to murder a student during an anti-government protest in Dinajpur on August 4.

According to the Daily Star report, Fahim Faizal, 22, a resident of Rajbati area of Dinajpur, lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station on Friday alleging that he was shot and injured during the protest.
Farid Hossain, the officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed this to The Daily Star on Saturday. According to the statement recorded in the case, Faizal, who participated in the ‘anti-discrimination student movement’, was shot during an attack on protesters near the Dinajpur Sadar Hospital.
The protesters were attacked with firearms and improvised weapons. Faizal suffered multiple injuries on his face, chest, hands and other parts of the body in the attack.
He was treated at the Dinajpur Medical College Hospital and partially recovered. The accused also include former whip Iqbalur Rahim, Dinajpur Sadar Upazila chairman Imdad Sarkar and district Jubo League general secretary Anwar Hossain.

Let us tell you that with this, a total of 155 cases have been registered against Hasina till now, including 136 cases of murder, seven of crimes against humanity and genocide, three of kidnapping, eight of attempted murder and one case of attack on a BNP procession.
The OC said Sheikh Hasina and former local legislator Iqbalur Rahim have been named as the first and second accused respectively in the case, while 57 others, including several unidentified accused, have been named.
The former whip has been charged in four cases so far since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government.
