After the incident, Japan on Saturday accused a Chinese survey vessel of entering its maritime boundary and lodged its formal protest in this regard through the Chinese embassy here. Japan’s Foreign Ministry gave this information. The Foreign Ministry expressed “strong concern” after the ship was sighted in Japan’s southwestern province of Kagoshima. Japan’s Defense Ministry says that this Chinese ship was seen in its maritime boundary at six in the morning local time, which left shortly before eight.

This Chinese ship was under the close watch of Japanese military ships and aircraft. Recently, Japanese defense officials are worried about China’s increasing activity around Japanese maritime borders and airspace.
