Demand to arrest those responsible for the violence
Angered by the death of the two, supporters of Maulana Zubair faction of Tablighi Jamaat protested and blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Ghazipur at 10 am.
The protesters demanded handing over the Tongi Ijtema grounds to their Ijtema and arresting those responsible for the violence. Sripur police station in-charge Khandakar Zainal Abedin Mandal said the protesters went back in the afternoon.
