With this the total number of deaths has increased to 65. The storm has caused havoc in the Philippines due to floods and landslides. It is being told that most of the people died due to landslides caused by the storm. A provincial police chief of the Philippines gave this information.
Batangas police chief Colonel Jacinto Malinao Jr. said the total number of people killed in Typhoon ‘Trami’ has increased to 65 with the deaths caused by landslides and floods in Batangas province. Typhoon ‘Trami’ hit northwestern Philippines on Friday. Malinao Jr. told The Associated Press by telephone from the lakeside town of Talisay that 11 other villagers were missing. During this time, a villager was standing with him, whose wife and child are missing. Rescue workers recovered part of a head and a leg, possibly belonging to the missing woman and child, during search operations. “He is completely heartbroken,” Malinao said of the villager who lost his wife and child in the torrential rains.
Alert issued for people
