India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met Michael Roth, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Parliament and discussed the current global challenges and the possibilities of new bilateral cooperation. During this, the possibilities of strategic partnership with India also seem to be getting strengthened. It is noteworthy that Jaishankar is in Germany in the second phase of his three-nation visit. He has arrived here from Saudi Arabia after participating in the ‘India-Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meeting’.

Jaishankar said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ after the meeting on Tuesday, “Glad to meet MP and Chairman of a Committee on Foreign Affairs Michael Roth. Shared views on current global challenges and possibilities of new cooperation between India and Germany.” He also interacted with foreign affairs and security policy experts organized by the Munich Security Conference in Berlin on Tuesday. Jaishankar said, “Changing global order, security challenges and strategic convergence between India and Germany were discussed.” Jaishankar also interacted with members of the German Parliament. He said, “I appreciate their insight on contemporary global issues. I value their support to strengthen India-Germany relations. (Language)
