US President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an order to ban the International Crime Court (ICC) for investigation against Israel.
The US and Israel do not recognize the international crime court. The ICC issued an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes against retaliation in Gaza after Hamas’s attack against Israel in October 2023.
Thousands of Palestinians, including children, died in retaliation of the Israeli army.
In order signed by Trump, the ICC “to take illegal and baseless action targeting the US and its close aide Israel” and to misuse their power by issuing “unmatched arrest warrant” against Netanyahu and Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Has been accused.
The order states that “America or Israel is out of the jurisdiction of ICC.” It also said that the ICC has taken dangerous steps of action against both countries. The order states that the US will impose a “concrete restriction” on the ICC.
This step towards Trump is taken at a time when Netanyahu is on a visit to Washington. Israeli President and Trump held talks in ‘White House’ on Tuesday and Netanyahu held a meeting with MPs in ‘Capital Hill’ (US Parliament) on Thursday.
