US President Donald Trump on Saturday ordered a series of airstrikes on the Huti rebels occupied in Yemen.
Trump warned that Iran-backed rebel rebels will continue the “attack” attack on the cargo rapists until they stop their attacks on the freight ships on the important sea corridor.
Huti rebels said that at least 18 common citizens died in these airstrikes.
Trump said in a ‘post’ on social media, “Our brave soldiers are carrying out airstrikes on terrorists’ bases, their masters and missile defense systems to protect American waterways, air and naval properties and restore freedom of shipping.”
He said, “No terrorist strength will prevent American commercial and naval ships from moving on the world’s waterways independently.”
Trump also warned Iran to stop the support of the rebellious organization, otherwise it would be “fully accountable” for its acts.
The Huti rebels reported a air strike on Saturday and Sunday in Sana and Saudi Arabia’s border on Saturday and Saudi Arabia. He also informed about airstrikes in Hodida, Quality and Marib provinces in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the Health Ministry run by Huti rebels, at least 18 people, including 13 in Sana and five in Plain, were killed.
The ministry said that at least 24 other people, including nine in Sana and 15 in plain, were injured.
An American official said on the condition of keeping his identity confidential that it is the beginning of aerial attacks on Huti bases and more attacks will be carried out.
Nasruddin Amer, Deputy Chief of Huti Media Office, said that air strikes would not stop him and he would retaliate against the US.
