A statement by the National Center for Sisamology (NCS) in Tibet said that a 3.7 magnitude earthquake occurred on the Richter scale. In a post on X, NCS said, “EQ in Tibet: 3.7, dated: 08/05/2025 20:18:41 IST, Latitude: 29.20N, longitude: 87.02 E, depth: 10 km earthquake occurred.” According to the information, earthquake tremors have also been felt in New Zealand. The intensity of the earthquake in New Zealand was high. The intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale is stated to be 5.6.

This area is seismic active, causing tectonic regeneration that can be sufficiently strong to change the height of the Himalayas.
