Security force personnel in Pakistan
Peshawar: The Pakistan Army said on Thursday that two security personnel, including Major, were killed in an encounter with terrorists in the north-west area of the country bordering Afghanistan. The army’s media branch ‘Inter-Services Public Relations’ (ISPR) reported that the encounter took place on the night of 29 January during the campaign launched by security forces on the basis of intelligence.
Army killed terrorists
The army said six terrorists were killed by Pakistani troops during the campaign. The security personnel killed in the encounter have been identified as 29 -year -old Major Hamza Israr of Rawalpindi and 26 -year -old soldier Muhammad Naeem from Nasirabad. Israr was leading a troop of soldiers in this campaign.
Campaign started in search of terrorists
The army said that after the encounter, security forces started a search operation in the area to eliminate the remaining terrorists. According to the news of Don newspaper, President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for killing six terrorists and paid tribute to the dead soldiers.
Pakistani army convoy was attacked
Meanwhile, let me tell you here that earlier this month, the Baloch Liberation Army carried out a suicide attack on the Pakistani Army convoy near Turbat, Balochistan. 47 Pakistani security personnel were killed and more than 30 were injured in the attack. (Language)
