First pager exploded in Lebanon, now walkie-talkie exploded

by Rajeev Bansal
September 19, 2024

Blast in Walkie-talkie: Terrorist group Hezbollah is in shock due to Israel’s new aggressive policy.

The terrorist group had not even recovered from the pager explosion when its walkie-talkie (handheld radio receiver) blast killed 14 people and injured at least 450.

Some media reports have said that pager explosions have taken place in some places in Syria as well. Lebanon’s state news agency NNA confirmed the walkie-talkie explosion and put the death toll at nine and the number of injured at 300.

Houses and vehicles on fire

Earlier on Tuesday, a pager explosion killed 12 people and injured about 2,800, Lebanese newspaper L’Orient Today reported. At around 5pm on Wednesday, a Hezbollah walkie-talkie was targeted.

The Health Ministry said in a statement released at 7 o’clock that 14 people were killed and about 450 injured in the explosions that occurred in the walkie-talkie. These explosions set fire to 60 houses and shops, 15 cars and dozens of motorcycles in different areas of the Nabatiyeh province.

The war enters a new phase

According to Beirut Today, thousands of walkie-talkies exploded in homes and cars at several locations. The country is shocked by these technology-based attacks by Israel.

Acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed the walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon in the evening. Beirut Today quoted Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant in its report, citing Israeli Army Radio. The statement said that Israel’s attention is now focused on the north. The country is entering a new phase of the war.

Walkie-talkie exploded during the funeral

According to Beirut Today, the walkie-talkie explosions began at 5:00 p.m. They set several apartments and vehicles on fire in the southern Beirut suburb of Dahieh and more than 20 towns in south Lebanon. One such explosion in Dahieh occurred during a funeral for those killed in the pager explosions.

All walkie-talkies belong to Hezbollah

According to America’s leading newspaper, The New York Times, all the walkie-talkies that exploded were owned by Hezbollah members.

Hezbollah has vowed revenge. However, Israel has not yet confirmed or denied involvement in the pager attacks. Lebanese and US officials have said that Israel is responsible for the pager explosions.

Israel said- Hezbollah will have to pay a higher price every time

The IDF’s X handle and website mention the intentions of army chief General Herzi Halevi. Halevi approved defensive and offensive plans during his visit to the Northern Command yesterday. He also addressed the commanders. He said that Israel still has many technical capabilities. They have not been activated yet.

Hezbollah will pay a heavy price in every stage of the war. Israel is committed to the elimination of Hamas in Gaza and the return of the hostages.

General Harzi’s remarks are also significant because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to send thousands of residents evacuated from the northern border areas back to their homes.

Defense Minister Yoav Galant praised the coordination between the Shin Bet, Mossad and the Israel Defense Forces during a visit to Ramat-David Air Force Base.
