Bangkok: China has started maneuvers in Tonkin’s Gulf located in the northern region of the South China Sea. This information has been given by Chinese officials. China’s maritime security administration said the warfare will focus on the Beebu Gulf region close to the Chinese part of Tonkin’s Gulf and will run until Thursday evening. Vietnam announced a new border line in its claimed water area in the South China Sea, after which China has started this exercise. Tonkin has long been a maritime agreement between China and Vietnam regarding the control of the Gulf, although the two countries make their respective claims on the nearby South China Sea’s Spratali and Parasel Islands and some maritime regions. China claims almost the entire South China Sea. He has an aggressive stand on these claims and in October he attacked 10 Vietnamese fishermen near Parasel Island.

Apart from Vietnam, China has also had a dispute with the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan, while there have been violent conflicts between Chinese Coast Guard and Indonesia fishermen in the around Natuna island.
