Five people killed, 10 injured in bomb blast near a bus of security forces in Pakistan

A bus carrying security forces in southwest Pakistan took a bomb blast on the roadside on Sunday, killing at least five officers and injuring 10 others. Police gave this information.

Local police chief Zafar Zamanani said that the attack took place in Naushiki district of Balochistan. He said that another bus near the blast was also badly damaged and the casualties were taken to a nearby hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the attack.

It is suspected that the banned ‘Baloch Liberation Army’ carried out the attack. The ‘Baloch Liberation Army’ ambushed a train and took around 400 passengers hostage a few days ago. The Government of Pakistan had said that in the incident, Baloch rebels killed 26 hostages and security forces killed all 33 attackers in the rescue operation.

Balochistan, rich in oil and mineral wealth, is the largest and lowest population province in Pakistan.

Local residents of Balochistan have been accusing the federal government of long discrimination but the Pakistan government has rejected these allegations.

The ‘Baloch Liberation Army’ is demanding independence from the federal government.
