Jaishankar paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in Switzerland.
Geneva: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has reached Switzerland after completing his visit to Germany. He paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s statue here on Thursday. He started his two-day visit to Switzerland. Jaishankar arrived here from Germany as part of the last leg of his three-nation visit. During this visit, he also visited Saudi Arabia. He said in a post on ‘X’, “Started my visit to Geneva by paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
In this world of polarization and conflict, Bapu’s (Mahatma Gandhi) message of harmony and peace is more relevant than ever.” Geneva is home to offices of a large number of UN bodies and international organizations. During his visit, Jaishankar will meet the heads and representatives of international organizations with which India is actively engaged. He will also meet the Foreign Minister of Switzerland to review the close partnership between the two countries and explore opportunities to further enhance bilateral relations. (Language)
