New Delhi: Foreign media is trying its best to create a rift in the traditional friendship and deep relations between India and Russia. Meanwhile, foreign media has spread rumors that weapons of war and ammunition are reaching Ukraine from India. After this news came, the Indian Foreign Ministry has strongly reacted. Let us tell you that the Foreign Ministry has termed the news that appeared in the media on September 19 as ‘false’, in which it is said that artillery shells sold by Indian arms manufacturers are being sent to Ukraine on behalf of European customers. It was also alleged that India has not intervened to stop this.

After such rumours were spread, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have seen the Reuters report. It is fictitious and misleading. It talks about violations by India, whereas there is nothing like that, so it is false and mischievous.” He said that India’s record of compliance with international obligations on export of military and dual (military and civilian) use items has been ‘immaculate’. Jaiswal said, “India is making its defence exports keeping in mind its international obligations related to nuclear non-proliferation and on the basis of its own strong legal and regulatory framework. This includes a comprehensive assessment of relevant criteria including end user obligations and certification.
