New York/Washington: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has met US Deputy Minister Jeffrey Caslers in Washington. During this meeting, there was a discussion on increasing bilateral cooperation in important and emerging technologies between the two. This information has been given by the Indian Embassy in Washington. This visit of Vikram Misri is a follow-up of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America this year.
Discussion on important issues
The Indian Embassy posted on ‘X’ and said that Misri discussed the promotion of Indo-US cooperation in important and emerging technologies in a meeting with Casler. The embassy said, “He also discussed the early event of Indo-US strategic trade talks to strengthen technology and trade cooperation.”

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement released on Monday that Misri would be on a visit to Washington from 27 to 29 May to meet senior officials of US administration. The ministry had said that the visit was a sequel after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America in February 2025 when the two countries started a new partnership called ‘India-US compact’ (promoting opportunities for military partnership, accelerated commerce and technology).
