Former King Gyanendra of Nepal
Kathmandu: Former Nepal King Gyanendra has been fined for compensation for losses during the protest demanding monarchy. Kathmandu Municipal Body on Saturday sent a letter to former King Gyanendra Shah. In this letter, a day earlier in some parts of the capital, there has been a compensation for the damage to public property and environment during pro -monarchy protests.
Two people killed in violence, 110 injured
A stressful situation was observed in some parts of Kathmandu on Friday, when pro -monarchy protesters pelted stones. The protesters attacked the office of a political party, set fire to vehicles and looted shops in Tinku-Baneshwar area of Kathmandu. Two people, including a TV cameraman, were killed and 110 others were injured in a clash between security personnel and pro -monarchy.
7,93,000 Nepali fine
Since this protest was held on the call of Gyanendra Shah, Balendra Shah, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), sent a letter at his residence in Nirmala Niwas in Maharajganj, outskirts of Kathmandu, in which he was asked to pay 7,93,000 Nepali rupees as damage to damage.
Copies of the letter sent to the former King have been issued in the media, in which KMC said that the protests organized on the call of the former King have damaged various properties of the metropolis and the environment of the capital has been affected. Durga Prasad, the convenor of Friday’s movement, met Gyanendra Shah a day earlier and received instructions to agitate for the demand for the monarchy and Hindu nation. The monarchy is organizing rallies in Kathmandu and other parts of the country and demanding the re -establishment of the 240 -year -old monarchy ended in 2008.
