Former Malaysia Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmed Badawi dies
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Death: Former Malaysia Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmed Badawi has died at the age of 85. Abdullah was ill for a long time. A hospital in Kuala Lumpur has given information about his death. Abdullah was also admitted to the Critical Care Unit at the National Heart Institute on 25 April 2024. Abdullah was suffering from a disease called pneumothorax.

Abdullah was also known as “Pak Lahs”, he was admitted to the State Institute of Heart in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday after he had trouble breathing, where he was being closely monitored by a team of cardiologists. But despite all efforts, he died at 7:10 pm on Monday. Abdullah became Prime Minister in 2003 after the resignation of senior leader Mahathir Mohammad after being Prime Minister for 22 years.

Abdullah Ahmed Badawi’s father has been the founding member of United Malay National Organization, the most effective party in Malaysia’s ruling National Front alliance. Badawi was born in Penang province of Malaysia and obtained a degree in Islam religion. In 1978, he was associated with civil service until his father’s death. He then started his political life. In 1998, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister.
