Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will be released on June 11: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

by Rajeev Bansal
June 8, 2025

Former Jail former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to get bail on June 11 in the Al-Kadir Trust case, a top leader of his party gave information. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is ready to hear the petitions requesting Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi to suspend the 190 million-pound Al-Kadir Trust case on June 11.

72 -year -old Khan has been lodged in Adiala Jail since August 2023 in several cases.

Expressing confidence that the founder of the party would get bail that day, Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Gohar Ali Khan said, “June 11 is going to be an important day for both Khan and his wife, but he did not give any special reason.

ARY News said that the IHC had earlier adjourned the hearing of the petitions in the Al-Kadir Trust case till 11 June. The postponement came after an additional time request to prepare its arguments by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Gohar told ARY News on Saturday that PTI would start a movement with opposition parties, which would lead the party’s patron head from jail.

He urged the opposition parties to join PTI for the existence and security of the country and revealed that a strategy for the upcoming budget has been finalized. “The party will address a press conference in this regard on June 9,” he said.

Earlier last month, Khan said that he would lead his party’s upcoming protest movement against the coalition government led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at the Center.

Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, threatened to start a full scale for the release of a cricketer-turned-cricketer after Eid al-Dhada earlier this week.

Khan, who is facing several cases and some of them have been convicted, repeatedly claimed that the ‘mother of all rigging’ was seen in the February 8 general election last year.

He has called his rivals Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) “mandate thief”. Speaking to the media at his hometown Faisalabad in Punjab on Saturday, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Rana Sanaullah on political matters urged the PTI to accept the offer of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s meeting for talks and sit with the government to amend the election laws.

Gohar claimed that Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was being kept in jail without any charge to pressurize the PTI founder and claimed that no deal would be made for the release of the founder.

He also rejected rumors of internal differences within PTI.

A few years ago, the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom (NCA) property Tycoon Malik Riyaz agreed to a 190 million pound agreement.

According to a pre -Dawn report, the NCA announced in August 2019 that it was ordered to ban eight -pounds with 100 million pounds, “a foreign nation suspected to be obtained from bribery and corruption.”

The NCA said that it had informed the government run by PTI of Khan.

Dawn said, “It is alleged that Khan asked his colleague Shahzad Akbar to resolve the matter on accountability, who” settled “the case by adjusting the frozen money linked to the national treasury against the liability of Bahria Town.”

Malik’s real estate firm, Bahria Town Limited was found guilty of illegally acquiring thousands of acres of land in Malir district on the outskirts of Karachi. It donated hundreds of acres of land to the Al-Kadir Trust, a non-profit organization with only two trustees-Khan and Bushra Bibi.
