Four more murder cases filed against Sheikh Hasina

4 More murder cases registered against Sheikh Hasina: 4 more murder cases have been registered against ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and her former cabinet colleagues.

According to the Bangladesh government news agency, the action was taken in the case of the death of Bangladesh Rifles officer Abdur Rahim in 2010. A murder case has been registered against 76-year-old Sheikh Hasina, former director of Bangladesh Border Guard Force General Aziz Ahmed and 11 others.

Rahim, who was the assistant deputy director of BDR, was an accused in a case registered in connection with the Pilkhana massacre in 2010. He died in jail while in custody on 29 July the same year. Rahim’s son, advocate Abdul Aziz, told Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate A case was registered in the court of Mohammad Akhtar Uzzaman. The news agency reported that on July 18, a student of the Military Institute of Science and Technology was killed during the anti-discrimination student movement.

In this case, another case of murder was registered against Hasina and 48 others on Sunday. Abdullah Al Kabir, uncle of the victim Sheikh Ashbul Yamin, filed a petition in the court of Dhaka Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Saifullah Islam. In this, an appeal was made to register a murder case against 49 accused.

Awami League general secretary, former road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan and others have been accused in the case. Recently, during the protests, a seller of products of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh was killed in the capital. A separate case was registered against Hasina and 27 others in this regard.
