Guard Shoots Chinese Nationals in Karachi
KARACHI: A local security guard on Tuesday opened fire on two Chinese nationals following a fight in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi. Both Chinese citizens were injured due to the shooting. Police has given information about this. The incident took place at a police station in the ‘Industrial Trading Estate’ area of Karachi in Sindh province. Deputy Inspector General of Police Azhar Mahesar said investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Security guard arrested
Azhar Mahesar said that the reason why the security guard opened fire is being investigated. He said, “Two Chinese nationals have been injured in the firing that took place after an argument with the security guard. The real reason is not clear, the security guard has been arrested.”
Chinese citizens admitted to hospital
Both the Chinese citizens injured by the bullet have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The condition of one of the injured is said to be serious. Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanzar has directed officials to arrest the security guard involved in the incident and take strict action in the matter. (Language)
