Khan Younis: As part of the ceasefire agreement at the Gaza Patti, Hamas left 8 more of Israeli hostages on Thursday. However, there is uncertainty about Israel’s plan to release 110 Palestinian prisoners in lieu of hostages. In fact, Tel Aviv expressed strong opposition to the chaotic scenes during the hand being handed over to the Israeli hostages.

What did PM Benjamin Netanyahu say?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clarified that Palestinian prisoners will not be liberated until Hamas assures the safe release of the hostages. Netanyahu later said that the mediators have assured them that safe withdrawal of hostages would be ensured from the Gaza Strip. However, he did not say anything about the possible release of Palestinian prisoners. Meanwhile, the Israeli media reported that Palestinian prisoners would be released.

Hamas leaves Israeli female soldier

Hamas handed over the Israeli female soldier Agam Berger (20) to the Red Cross on the Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza on Thursday morning. The Israeli government later confirmed that Berger had reached its forces. Burjar was among the five women soldiers of Israel who was abducted by Hamas during a fierce attack on October 7, 2023 in Israel. The group released four other women soldiers on Saturday. After Berger, Hamas handed over seven other hostages to the red cross on Thursday afternoon, including two Israeli and five Thai citizens.

Palestinians raised objectionable slogans

The Israeli army later confirmed that the Red Cross has handed over the seven hostages to its forces in the Gaza Strip. However, in front of the destroyed house of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed in the city of Khan Younis in Southern Gaza, these seven hostages saw a very chaotic scene while handing over the red cross. Thousands of Palestinians surrounded the hostages on the spot and raised objectionable slogans against them. The chaos delayed the process of handing over the hostage to the red cross and their evacuation from Gaza. The Red Cross later conveyed the hostages to the Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas left these hostages

The Israeli Army said that the eight hostages that Hamas left on Thursday included 29 -year -old Israeli woman Arbal Jude, 80 -year -old Israeli elderly Gadi Moses and five Thai citizens, who were identified, who were identified, who were identified, Vachara Shreeon (33), Pongsak Tanna ( 36), Sathiyan Suvankam (35), Bannavat Sithao (27) and Sursak Lamnau (32) have been performed. On October 7, 2023, Hamas took these Thai citizens hostage when they were working at a project site in Southern Israel. Israel said that eight Thai citizens are still under Hamas, two of which are believed to have died.

33 Israeli hostages will be released

Effective ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has increased the supply of help in the region due to effective ceasefire from January 19. In the first six weeks of the ceasefire agreement, a total of 33 Israeli hostages are to be released in lieu of the release of about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Israel has said that it has received information from Hamas that eight Israeli hostages were either killed in an October 7 2023 attack or died in Hamas’s possession. (AP)
