Tel Aviv: Hamas has released the names of four hostages. He will release these hostages on Saturday under the ceasefire in Gaza Strip. The names were not immediately confirmed by Israel. Relatives of hostages appeal to PM Netanyahu
Meanwhile, relatives of people held hostage in Gaza on Friday appealed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ensure the release of all remaining hostages. He has also called on US President Donald Trump to maintain pressure for the release of his relatives. The six-week ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has entered its sixth day.
Release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners
It is noteworthy that Hamas has not yet given any accurate information about how many hostages are still alive. In the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, 33 hostages are expected to be freed in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. On Sunday, the first day of the ceasefire, the first three Israeli hostages were released in exchange for 90 Palestinian prisoners.
