US President Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump is surprising the world with his decisions. The Trump administration has now banned a grant amount of more than US $ 2.2 billion to Harvard University in the US. There was also a demand to ban the mask worn on the face.
Federal encroachment is not accepted in educational autonomy- University
In his reply, Harvard President Alan Garber announced that the university would not negotiate its freedom or its constitutional rights. Garber emphasized that the university is committed to removing discrimination, but it rejects federal encroachment in educational autonomy.
Garber’s statement came after the initial federal review of about 9 dollars of financing allotted to Harvard and his associates. The needs of the administration included assessment of faculty and students’ ideas, which was publicly made available by Harvard.
University rejected Trump’s demands
Despite revealing $ 45 million operating $ 45 million from revenue of $ 6.5 billion in the last financial year, Harvard has strongly rejected the demands that he considered to be excessive and out of federal rights.
