The situation arising out of the Indian missile attack on Wednesday was discussed in Pakistan’s high -level security meeting. The Prime Minister of Pakistan can address Parliament on this issue.
The Indian armed forces carried out missile attacks on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) under ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the early hours of Wednesday.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over the meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), in which cabinet ministers, chief ministers, heads of all armies and senior officials participated.
The NSC meeting lasted for more than two hours and the security situation was discussed in detail. However, no information was shared about the decision taken in the meeting.
Sharif has called a cabinet meeting at 3:30 pm to further discuss the developments.
Officials said, “Later, Sharif will address Parliament and inform about the decision taken in relation to the current developments.”
Earlier in the day, Pakistani Army spokesman Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary told the media that at least 26 people were killed and 46 injured in missile attacks by India.
