Fierce plane accident in southern Sudan (symbolic photo)
Sudan Plane Crash: A plane has fallen victim to an accident in South Sudan. The aircraft were riding 21 people, including passengers and crew members. At least 18 people have died in the plane accident. The incident took place when the aircraft was flying from Unity Oilfield Airport and when the incident happened. Unity State Information Minister Gatwach Bipal has confirmed the accident.
Two Chinese and one Indian died
The aircraft had employees working in the oil field, who were associated with the Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC). The company works closely with China National Petroleum Corporation and Nile Petroleum Corporation. The dead include two Chinese citizens and an Indian citizen.
Accidents have happened before
At the moment, the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. There have been several air accidents in South Sudan over the years. In the year 2018, a plane going from Juba to Jirol fell victim to an accident in which 19 people died. Even in 2015, a Russian cargo plane crashed as soon as he flew from Juba Airport, killing dozens of people.
