Houthi missile falls in central Israel.
Jerusalem: For the first time, Yemen’s Houthis have launched a major attack on Israel. Today, for the first time, a Houthi missile fell in Central Israel. This missile took just 11 minutes and 30 seconds to cover a distance of 2,040 (1270 miles) from Yemen to Central Israel. The Israeli army and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are also surprised by this. This missile of Yemen’s Houthis has reached Central Gaza and has made it clear that the Houthis are capable of attacking anywhere in Israel.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a serious warning after this action of the Houthis. He has said that Israel will make the Iran-Houthi alliance that controls northern Yemen pay a “heavy price” for this. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said that the group carried out this attack with a new hypersonic ballistic missile, which covered a distance of 2,040 km (1270 miles) in just 11 minutes 30 seconds. This missile fell in Israel in an open area. There a huge crater was created and a fire broke out. However, due to it being a deserted place, there was no damage here. Later Israel said that it disintegrated in the air itself.
Missile fragments fell near fields and railway station
Pieces of this Houthi missile fell near a railway station and fields in Israel. However, there are no reports of any casualties. It is being told that moments before the attack at around 6:35 am local time, sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and across central Israel indicating the possibility of an airstrike. Due to this, local residents were running towards safe shelter. During this, loud explosions were heard. Reuters saw smoke rising in an open field in central Israel.
Netanyahu said a heavy price will have to be paid
After this attack by the Houthi, PM Netanyahu said in a weekly cabinet meeting that the Houthis should have known that they would have to pay a “heavy price” for attacks on Israel. Let us tell you that Netanyahu, referring to Israel’s retaliatory air strike against Yemen for the Houthi drone that attacked Tel Aviv in July, said, “Anyone who needs to be reminded of this is invited to visit the port of Hodeida.”
Since the Gaza war began with Hamas’ attack on Israel in October, the Houthis have repeatedly fired missiles and drones at Israel to show solidarity with the Palestinians. The Houthis first attacked Tel Aviv in July, killing one person and injuring four. Israel retaliated by destroying Houthi military positions near the port of Hodeidah, killing six people and injuring 80. (Reuters)
