Washington: American researchers will soon test whether the genes that have been changed can be treated through a liver (liver) whose liver has stopped working suddenly. According to the research company Egnesis in the field of organ transplantation, the first clinical test of its kind has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the US (FDA). This approval has been given by the FDA at a time when Chinese doctors successfully transplanted a boar liver in a brain dead patient.
What do data say
According to an estimate, every year 35,000 people in the US are hospitalized due to sudden liver deterioration. Due to very low treatment option, the mortality rate reaches 50 percent. Many people do not get a liver suitable for their body for timely transplant. But, if everything goes well then the situation will change.

This will be a clinical test
Researchers will not transplant the boar liver during the clinical test. It will be added externally into the body of those who will be included in this test. Mike Curtis, Chief Executive Officer at Massachusetts, said that the experiment with four bodies revealed that the pig’s liver could help in the functioning of human liver for two or three days. Egnesis modifies pigs genetically. The clinical test will include 20 patients. (AP)
