Peshawar: 3 people, including a child, were killed and 11 others were injured in various incidents, including a child in a horrific storm in Peshawar, Naushera and Charsadh districts of North-Western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. There was a severe storm with strong winds in Peshawar and its surrounding areas. In the clock tower vegetable market, 2 people died and 3 others were injured due to strong winds.
Officers visited
Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Salim Akram visited the affected areas with Additional Deputy Commissioner Rao Hashim Azim. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his condolences to the families affected by the disaster and assured them of cooperation from the district administration. He instructed the officials concerned to get the injured better treatment. He also asked to immediately inspect trees, electric poles and other unsafe places to prevent accidents in future.

‘People do not get out of their homes in bad weather’
The district administration has also appealed to the people to avoid unnecessarily going out during storms or bad weather and stay away from electric lines, weak trees or walls. Meanwhile, rescue service ‘Rescue 1122’ has reported that one child was killed and 11 others were injured due to a storm in Peshawar, Naushera and Charsadda. According to rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Ahmed Faizi, there were several incidents in Peshawar, including Afghan Colony, Asad Anwar Colony and Rano Gari in the roof and wall fall. (Language)
