Ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine
Brussels: The seed war between Russia and Ukraine continues and there is no sign of it stopping in the near future. Amidst the war, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned on Thursday. Rutt said a Russian victory over Ukraine would weaken the deterrence power of the world’s largest military alliance and could cost trillions of dollars to restore its credibility.
‘If Ukraine loses…’
“If Ukraine loses, we will have to spend much more than we currently do in terms of spending and increasing industrial production to restore NATO’s deterrence capability,” Rutte said.

‘Support should be increased for Ukraine’
“It would be not billions (of dollars) of excess, it would be trillions (of dollars) of excess,” Rutte said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Rutte said Ukraine’s Western backers would be spared about three years of a full-scale invasion by Russia. After this, the support given to the country should be “increased and not reduced.”
‘The direction of the war will have to be changed’
NATO Secretary General said, “We have to change the direction of the war.” He said that the West (countries) “cannot allow it to happen in the 21st century that one country attacks another country and tries to colonize it.” He said, “We have moved beyond those days.”

NATO has taken steps
Let us tell you that, NATO is deploying thousands of troops and equipment in its eastern region along with Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, so that Moscow can be prevented from expanding its war in the territory of any of the 32 member countries of the organization. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump may try to end the war early by negotiating with Russian President Vladimir Putin on terms unfavorable to Ukraine. (AP)
