On one hand, this man was getting frustrated because he did not get the ticket of his choice, and on the other hand, he won a lottery worth 92 lakh dollars i.e. about 77 lakh rupees on the ticket which he had bought reluctantly. According to reports, the identity of the person who won the lottery has been kept secret. He told Illinois Lottery officials he had gone to the Jewell store in Edison to buy some groceries. The man said that he was leaving the store after purchasing goods when he thought of buying a lottery ticket as well. The man said that the problem started when he was trying to buy the ticket of his choice from the machine.

‘I bought the lotto ticket after feeling tired’
Speaking to Illinois Lottery officials, the man said, ‘I wanted to buy a ticket for another game but the machine got stuck on ‘Lotto’. This made me a little nervous. I wondered what was happening. I tried for a long time but it did not work. Ultimately I bought the lotto ticket. When the ticket draw took place, the person got a prize of 9.2 million dollars i.e. about Rs 77 crore.

The man said, ‘When I scanned my ticket, the machine showed a prize of $9.2 million. I couldn’t believe it after seeing this. When I looked at my wife, she was also completely stunned. Then we both started laughing about how I was getting angry that day because of that broken machine. We are very thankful for whatever happened. Let us tell you that this was the second biggest prize of Lotto lottery this year. Earlier in February, a person had got a reward of 10.4 million dollars.
