The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) general secretary Mark Rutte told the President of Ukraine after a sharp debate between Volodimir Jailonsky and Donald Trump that he needed “finding” how to find a way to improve his relations with the US President “.
Roote told ‘BBC’ on Saturday that he told Jailonsky that “he (US) (US) (US) (US) (Donald) Trump should actually respect the work done so far for Ukraine.”
He was referring to the decision taken in Trump’s first term as President in 2019 under which Ukraine was supplied to ‘Javalin’ anti -tank missiles that he used against Russian tanks in 2022.
Rautte described the meeting between Trump and Jailonski on Friday as “unfortunate”, saying he “Knows that the US administration wants to ensure that Ukraine can establish permanent peace with Russia.”
Roote hoped that European leader, who held a meeting in London on Sunday, would help Ukraine to help in future peace agreement by providing security guarantee.
