Peshawar: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan has finally been forced to bow down to the current PM Shahbaz Sharif. This claim is made by senior leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf Junaid Akbar. Junaid has said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is ready to hold a reconciliation with the Government of Pakistan or any institution, but cannot be forced by showing a gun. Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party leader Akbar told the media on Thursday that the former Prime Minister has made it clear that he is ready to talk to anyone for the Constitution and the correctness of the law, but he cannot be forced by showing guns. Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since August 2023. Several cases have been registered against him after his government was demolished in April 2022.

Akbar said, “Our doors are always open for talks, but if someone thinks that by filing a case against Khan Saheb and our workers and sending them to jail, he will forcibly impose his wish on us, then it is his illusion.” Akbar also said that institutions should work within their legal realm and the same political parties should do the same. He said, “We are ready to talk to the government or institutions to maintain the constitution and law.” On the protests for Khan’s release, Akbar said, “This is not just the issue of Khan Saheb; This is a national issue. The gap between institutions and the public has increased considerably. We repeatedly emphasize the need for strong institutions supported by the public. (Language)
