PTI rally in Pakistan
Islamabad: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party in Pakistan’s jail has announced to hold a huge rally in Swabi city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province instead of Lahore, Punjab, on February 8, on February 8. Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is currently in power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
PTI will stay away from conflict or disturbance
According to the news of the ‘Express Tribune’ newspaper, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party also said that it would remain away from any confrontation or disturbance. The party had earlier sought permission to organize a rally on Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, but the Deputy Commissioner (DC) refused to allow it, citing concerns of maintaining law and order.
Conflict between PTI and Pakistan government
Imran Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since 2023 in many cases and has been seen confrontation between the current government and Khan’s party since the general elections in February 2024. Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf earlier announced that it would celebrate February 8 as ‘Black Day’ and will hold a protest rally on the historic Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on this day. On February 8 last year, general elections were held in Pakistan and PTI has been alleging that the mandate received by his party in the election has been disturbed.
Cricket teams increased security
Let us know that the tri -cricket series is also starting in Pakistan. Khan’s party had planned to take out a protest march on this day, in view of which army personnel and Rangers were deployed in Lahore to strengthen the security of the cricket teams.
